Rani Nagfani ki Kahani is a satire penned by Late Shri Hari Shankar Parsai. In this novel the incidents, the characters like the king, minister, prince and the princess etc are relatively associated with many facets of modern life which have been satirized by the writer.
The names and incidents are used as Aptronyms. The story focuses on the complicated love story of Princess Nagfani and the Prince Ashatbhan, and also reveals the antics of other characters like Karelamukhi and Muftlal along with the Physician, Painter, Vilasmantri, Chief Minister, and the King etc. With their introduction the writer has commented on the lives of the pampered and spoilt young generation of the rich, capitalistic society. Not only this it reveals how corruption has infiltrated all the aspects of life be it the medical world, matrimony, education system, employment and many other social, political and economic aspects, all of which have been put under a brutal scanner and exposed by the writer.
